Big E is currently one of the top Superstars on Friday Night Smackdown and has been on the receiving end of a push for the past few months as a singles competitor. At the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Big E won the Money In The Bank ladder match and became the owner of the Money In The Bank briefcase. Vince McMahon was especially happy with Big E after he won the match.
WWE SummerSlam will see John Cena challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in one of the most highly anticipated matches in long. After this huge win, Big E hinted at cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase on various occasions. The former Intercontinental Champion decided to do so once again recently.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, Big E talked about the Roman Reigns vs. John Cena match and hinted at cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase after the match concludes.
“As far as the match with Roman Reigns, I am very excited for that one. Because those are two guys who are alphas in their minds. Who see themselves as the top of WWE. Of the industry. They both see themselves as all-time greats and I think I am watching as a fan. But if both those guys end up real battered, bruised, and barely able to stand up when it’s over — I don’t know it might be a great time for a very strong man to run down with the briefcase and change the fortune.”
We will have to wait and see if Big E truly will cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase at WWE SummerSlam, as it could spell doom for either John Cena or Roman Reigns. Baron Corbin seems to have possession of the Money in the Bank briefcase, but we’ll have to see if Big E can get it back for a cash-in.
