WWE is bringing SummerSlam to fans this weekend, but the biggest party of the summer might be a bit shorter than usual. They have a loaded card, but a few of those matches are likely to run a bit short so fans can exit Allegiant Stadium in time to make it to a big boxing match.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that he was told two different times by sources within WWE. One personal apparently told Alvarez that Las Vegas told WWE they needed to have their big event over by 11:00 PM EST. SummerSlam starts at 8:00 PM EST with a kickoff show starting an hour sooner.

The general idea is that WWE will get the show over with by around 11:00 to 11:30 PM EST, because Manny Pacquiao’s return to boxing is actually the hottest ticket in town that night.

“I’ve had two different sources telling me a different time that the show is going to go off the air. I had one insisting that the show is going to end at 8:30, but I have been told and I’ve been told for a while that the city of Vegas wants the show over by 8:00 Pacific, 11:00 eastern so people can get out and get to the boxing event.”

Manny Pacquiao’s return to boxing is a big deal, and many fans will want to attend that event. SummerSlam will apparently be over in time for that big fight, and that means fans will be in for a much shorter SummerSlam than they’re used to.
