AEW Dynamite Results for August 18, 2021

Live from Houston, Texas, commentary runs down tonight’s card. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston make their entrance through the crowd. 2.0 and Daniel Garcia attacks Moxley and Kingston from behind with a lead pipe and weapons, its very dark, the house lights aren’t on them. Garcia and 2.0 enter the ring. they say they took out Sting and Darby’s boys. lets do this right here, right now!

The lights go out, snow falls and Sting makes his entrance. Darby Allin is out next, with a fancy new entrance video. Allin attacks 2.0 and Garcia from behind with a skateboard.

Texas Tornado Tag Match: Darby Allin & Sting vs. 2.0

Sting and Darby hits Stinger Splashes. Sting and Darby brawl through the crowd with 2.0, the crowd chants “You Still Got It!” They make their way to the upper concourse, Garcia is still out here, it is 3 on 2. 2.0 hit a flapjack on Darby into the ceiling! Its still very dark in this area.

2.0 and Garcia lead Sting back down to ringside. Darby walks down the railing and leaps down into 2.0! Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley enter the fight and beat down on 2.0 and Garcia. Darby and Sting reach the ring, Allin pulls out a table from under the ring. 2.0 take out Sting at the knees and 2.0 hits a double suplex onto the skateboard on Darby.

Sting rallies and tries to take out 2.0, 2.0 set up the table in the ring. Huge reactions when Sting fights back, 10 shots in the corner, huge boos as Sting gets taken down, 2.0 hit a double powerbomb through the table but Sting pops right up and Hulks up! Sting this a double Scorpion Death Drop on 2.0! “Holy Shit!” chants as Sting locks in a Scorpion Death Lock on both of 2.0! They both tap out!

Sammy Guevara was in the ring earlier today, he proposes to his girlfriend, she says yes!

Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard make fun of Sammy, they say they’ll make Sammy’s girlfriend a member of the Pinnacle, so she can be “on top.”

Commercial Break.

Sammy Guevara makes his entrance, huge pop. Spears attacks him from behind! they brawl on the top of the ramp. Guevara dropkicks Spears off the ramp and then hits a missile dropkick. Guevara hugs his new fiancé at ringside. they brawl through ringside, chops back and forth, Spears is down and Guevara celebrates with the front row. Spears drives Guevara into the ring steps. Blanchard hits an assisted piledriver with Spears on the outside.

Spears argues with the ref, “Throw him out!” Chants directed at Blanchard. The set up to do the piledriver again but Aubrey ejects Blanchard! Blanchard hits Aubrey with his jacket before finally leaving. Spears knees Guevara in the corner. Spears shouts at Pam, Sammy’s fiancé at ringside, Guevara hits an enziguri, misses a springboard cutter, Spears gets a roll up, Spears hits a huge chop. Picture in picture.

Spears works on Guevara arm, huge “Lets Go Sammy!” chants, Spears gets a chair from ringside. Spears slowly turns and eyes Pam, Guevara attacks Spears. Sammy pulls a guardrail from under the ring, set it up between the ring and the barricade. Both men springboard to the top rope, Spears gives Guevara the finger, Sammy hits a huge cutter, 2 count!

“This is Awesome!” chants, Spears hits an avalanche C4 from the top rope, Sammy kicks out at 2! On the apron, Guevara hits a superkick, picks up Spears and hits a DVD onto the guardrail! Guevara climbs to the top, hits the 630 Senton and Spears kicks out at 2!

Guevara exposes his knee, hits straight knees to the face, hits the GTH, 1, 2, 3!

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Christian Cage. Don Callis interrupts before he can say anything. Callis says he gave Christian his start in the business. Callis says nothing has changed, Christian says he is in Omegas head, Omega is terrified he will take the AEW title at All Out and calls Callis a carny piece of shit.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring with Dan Lambert. Lambert rants about cancel culture and free speech. Says UFC contract don’t let MMA fighters in AEW ring. Lambert has brought in Junior Dos Santos, if your back their freeing froggy, come out and jump! AEW is not the answer to pro wrestling prayers. “AEW!” chants, Lambert says AEW is full of wannabe tough guys, the only reason the fans are here is because their only other options of sitting in their moms basement and looking up freaky stuff on the dark web.

Lance Archer comes down to confront Lambert. Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page attack Archer from behind as Lambert laughs.

Chris Jericho is backstage, says he ahs endure the Labours of Jericho but has paid the price, but he survived and won. Tonight he gets the ultimate prize, MJF! He may not have Judas but what he does have is the upper hand, he has momentum, has has 5000 fans who will sing him to the ring. tonight he gets his revenge.

Jurassic Express make their entrance. The Champions, the Young Bucks are out next, accompanied by the Elite. Don Callis joins commentary.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Jurassic Express

Jungle Boy starts with Nick Jackson, Nick gets a headlock, shoulder tackle, and plays to the crowd. Nick flips out of the ring, Jungle Boy dives onto Nick on the outside. Jungle Boy with dropkicks, Luchasaurus tags in, Nick runs away to tag in Matt. Luchasaurus hits a sit out slam on Matt Jackson. Jungle Boy hits a senton, Matt kicks out at 2. the Bucks goes for the Indytaker, Jungle hits a huricanrana to the outside.

Matt Jackson hits a diving crossbody from the top rope to the outside on Luchasaurus. Picture in picture. Matt rakes the back of Jungle Boy, Nick chokes Jungle Boy on the ropes. Jungle Boy fights out of the corner, hits a huge lariat on Nick, gets the tag to Luchasaurus, Luchasaurus runs wild on the Bucks. throws both men across the ring, plays to the crowd, Nick hits a roundhouse kick, enziguri, Luchasaurus knocks him of the top, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus hit a brainbuster off the top! Matt Jackson breaks the 3 count!

Luchasaurus throws Nick into Cutler, Luchasaurus avoid the superkicks, hits superkicks of his own, hits a double chokeslam, 2 count. The Bucks hits double superkicks on both Jurassic Express, they hit the Indytaker, Jungle Boy kicks out at 2!

Kenny Omega runs down and attacks Marko Stunt with a chair. Christian Cage runs down and attacks Omega with a spear. they brawl to the back, jungle Boy hits a brainbuster on the chair, Nick Jackson breaks the count. they hit Thruassic Express, Nick breaks the count again! Luchasaurus fights off the Elite, Jungle Boy gets a backslide, the Bucks hit the BTE Trigger, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: “And Still” AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks!

Luke Gallows drags Christian Cage back to the ring. The Elite beat down on Christian and Jurassic Express. Don Callis hits a stomp of Christian, Omega picks him up, hits the One Winged Angel on Christian, Don Callis counts 1, 2, 3!

Tony Schiavone is with Britt Baker backstage, Baker says she brought Jaimie Hayter to AEW. she knew she needed backup, Hayter says she and Britt go way back. Ask Statlander and Velvet what its like to taste her boots. Challenges Statlander and Velvet to a tag match.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, introduces Paul Wight. Wight says it was his honour to help Tony last week and it was amazing to get back in the ring. Wight says it felt good to Solow for a ride he’ll never forget. He is excited to make a huge announcement. QT Marshall interrupts. QT says we have a problem, a really big ass problem. Her in AEW we don’t say things to let the fans down, Wight invites the Factory into the ring. QT says Khan didn’t sign Wight as a wrestler. Wight says QT is upsetting him a little bit, QT calls the fans morons, QT puts a medical photo of Wight hips on the screen, hip replacement and five operations. QT says its heroic Wight is even here at all. Wight says he isn’t embarrassed, and it wont limit him, QT doesn’t know anything. Wight says he had a talk with Tony Khan, at All Out he has a match, a match against QT Marshall. Marshall looks shocked and scared.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with the Elite. There will be an eliminator tournament to determine the tag title match in a Steel Cage.

Tazz is in the ring, he introduces himself and his son Hook. Welcomes the FTW World Champion to the ring, Ricky Starks. On the stage, Starks says he is for the world, introduces Brian Cage to talk. Backstage Powerhouse Hobbs has attacks Brian Cage. Cage starts to fight back, Starks cuts the feed and runs away.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Death Triangle. Lucha Bros will be in the Tag Title Tournament. Pac says anywhere anytime to Andrade, All Out would be “perfecto.” Pac says he glad Andrade grew a pair of bollocks, what chance does he stand.

Andrade walks in, Pac needs to agree to Andrade’s conditions, Chavo says the Lucha Bros will never be champions with a boss like Pac.

Penelope Ford makes her entrance. Thunder Rosa make her entrance to a huge reaction.

Ford facewashs Rosa, Rosa hits a dropkick, forearms in the corner. Rosa with a back elbow in the corner. Rosa with stomps, Rosa throws Ford to the apron, dropkick sends Ford to ringside. Rosa with chops, Ford drives Rosa into the ring post and hits a huge cutter. Picture in picture.

Ford with knee strikes in the ropes, pendulum in the ropes. Ford hits a dropkick, double knee drop on the apron. Ford gets the cover, 2 count. Ford locks in a dragon sleeper, Rosa fights out with back elbows in the corner. Ford hits a high boot, drives Rosa into the opposite corner, then another high boot, Rosa avoid a third boot. Rosa hits a missile dropkick, then a butterfly suplex, 2 count.

Ford rolls through into a 2 count. Ford locks in the Muta lock! Rosa rolls out, Ford rolls into a cover, 2 count. Rosa reverses into a single leg crab. Rosa hits a spinning Death Valley Driver, 2 count! Ford hits a gut buster, then locks in the Muta Lock, Rosa reverse into a triangle chokes, Ford taps out.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Brock and Arn Anderson. Arn says he doesn’t like to get emotional, but things in AEW happen fast. Next week on Dynamite Brock will face Malakai Black. Arn tries to talk Brock out of the match, Brock says with all due respect, the match is signed, he not asking hes telling.

Commentary runs down the Rampage card, huge “CM Punk!” chants.

Jon Moxley is backstage, says everybody wants a piece of AEW, what makes them think its so easy. Says Hangman Page couldnt get the job done, he will walk through Christian Cage, he flew the flag for AEW during the most important time. Its about time he sends a message about who still on top of the food chain. If Garcia wants a taste of the main event, he will give it to him on Rampage. This ain’t no joke.

MJF makes his entrance. Chris Jericho enters to silence. The crowd sings Judas!

The 5 Labours Of Jericho – Chapter 5: MJF vs. Chris Jericho – “No Judas Entrance, And No Judas Effect”

MJF pushes Jericho, a slap, “MJF Sucks!” chants. Jericho goes for the Walls, MJF wriggles out. Jericho hits a springboard dropkick, Jericho dives to the outside onto MJF. Jericho with a chop, forearm against the barricade. MJF with a thumb to the eye, drives Jericho into the barricade. MJF gets the camera and give the crowd the finger, like Jericho us to do. The camera goes on Jericho and he hits a big right hand.

MJF runs away into the ring. Jericho with chops in the corner, forearms, MJF with a right hand, drives Jericho into the ring post, MJF stomps on the injured arm. Picture in picture. “You Still Suck!” chants to MJF. Jericho with a chop, MJF hits a flatliner, 2 count. MJF with a knee to the injured arm, another 2 count. MJF rakes the back, ties up Jericho’s injured arm in the ropes.

MJF locks in an armbar. “Jericho!” chants, Jericho fights out with right hands, MJF locks in another armbar. “You ain’t shit!” chants to MJF. Jericho hits a clothesline, right hands, shoulder block, and a double axe handle to MJF. MJF judo throws Jericho into the corner, yanks off Jericho’s arm brace. Jericho hits a Lionsault, 2 count!

Jericho with stomps in the corner, chops, another clothesline, 10 short arm clotheslines in the corner. Jericho with 10 more shots on the top rope, and then a top rope huricanrana, 2 count. MJF transitions into the Salt of the Earth, Jericho escapes into the Walls! MJF rolls out, with a huge right hand. Right hands back and forth, descends into a huge brawl, MJF drops Jericho’s arm, onto the ropes, MJF hits a pendulum piledriver, Jericho just kicks out at 2!

Jericho gets a sleeper, MJF hits a low blow behind the refs back, MJF locks in the Wall of Jericho! Jericho drags himself to the ropes. Jericho goes to the corner and gets the baseball bat, MJF gets the diamond rong, the ref see the ring and takes the ring from MJF, Jericho hits MJF with the bat, Jericho goes for the Judas effect but remember he cant do it, MJF hits the Judas, into the Salt of the Earth, Jericho rolls him into into a pitfall, 2 count! MJF locks in the Salt of the Earth again and Chris Jericho taps out!

WINNER: MJF

MJF celebrates, Jericho looks on in despair and Dynamite goes off the air.
