WWE released Ruby Riott from her contract, but there is already a strong rumor that she is talking to AEW. We will have to see what happens in that situation, but there seems to be even more momentum.
Riott is a veteran of the pro wrestling business and her release sent shockwaves through the WWE women’s division. She made a decision not to return to “Heidi Lovelace,” because she is keeping the Ruby moniker. She also trademarked “The Runaway.”
According to a report from Fightful Select, AEW talent have been told that there is interest in bringing in Ruby Riott, now Ruby Soho. Other companies have reportedly reached out to Soho for bookings, but she informed them that she isn’t taking any dates on her calendar.
AEW talent had been told there was interest in her coming in to the company, but that other companies that had reached out were told she wasn’t taking bookings.
It was also reported that Soho shot video vignettes which should drop very soon. A few companies have shown interest in Soho, but it wasn’t confirmed how formal the conversations were. Needless to say, Ruby Riott’s time in the pro wrestling business isn’t going to end with her WWE release at all.
