John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. That could change after SummerSlam, but he is still booked for the SmackDown supershow at Madison Square Garden.
John Cena competed against the best of the best the WWE has to offer but there are still quite a few WWE Superstars he has yet to face off against inside the squared circle. While speaking to DAZN, Goldberg revealed that he really wants to have a dream match against John Cena once the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view concludes this month.
[John] Cena, that’s always been a dream [match]. Never been in the ring with him. We’re two completely different characters. Hey, you never know. You never know.”
Although Cena was able to lock up with future Hall of Famers and the company’s brightest current stars alike, he hasn’t faced everyone yet. Goldberg really wants a crack at Cena before he returns to Hollywood. It would be interesting to see that happen.
Before he can think about John Cena, Goldberg has to contend with Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. We will have to wait and see who will win the match in the end.
