AEW was able to bring CM Punk back to pro wrestling. As Ringside News exclusively reported he has inked a contract. This is a huge deal and fans are excited. The Second City Savior is having a lot of fun teasing fans in the process as well.
Punk has already sported a Chicago Bulls pin with XX on it, to signify the 20th and the United Center. That wasn’t lost on fans. Others noticed more teases about Darby Allin on his Instagram stories. Now he’s at it again.
Punk posted an Instagram story with three numbers. “05, 11, 21” was all he sent out, but fans have some great theories about what those numbers mean.
It is 2021, so the “21” could be a reference to signing a contract this year. The “11” could be a reference to signing his deal in the summer of 2011, and the “05” could be a reference to his original WWE developmental deal in 2005.
This is an exciting time for pro wrestling fans, because a favorite is coming back to the squared circle. Ringside News exclusively reported that Punk will wrestle 10 to 12 times per year, but he could always elect to work more. He will be on television nearly every week as well. Odds are AEW’s United Center show in Chicago this Friday will draw a much larger audience than AEW Rampage’s already impressive number the debut episode did.
