AEW’s first episode of Rampage was packed with three matches which told incredible stories. The backstage area was also full of electricity and some special guests stopped by for the event as well.
Taz is an announcer on AEW Rampage, so he was expected to be in Pittsburgh. Fellow ECW alum Jerry Lynn is a producer for the company as well. Fans were treated to a real surprise when even more ECW originals were present for the AEW Dynamite debut.
Tommy Dreamer, Shane Douglas, Jerry Lynn, Jeff Jones and Taz all posed together backstage at AEW Rampage for a great photo-op. It’s not everyday that those guys get to see each other, but they got very close working for Extreme Championship Wrestling back in the day.
We’ll have to see if Tommy Dreamer and Shane Douglas have anything to do with AEW in the future. Dreamer is currently a head honcho for Impact Wrestling, so he was likely there because the Impact World Title changed hands that night.
