Zelina Vega was released from her contract on November 13th of last year as she did not abide by the company’s policy of banning third-party platforms. She opened an OnlyFans account after they issued the ban and openly supported unions, which was the final nail in the coffin. She also previously reacted to fans who criticized her current booking in WWE.

It was previously noted that Zelina Vega re-signed with the company to be closer to her husband Malakai Black, but that ultimately backfired as Black was fired by WWE. Now Vega and Black are separated by company lines.

While speaking to Digital Spy, Zelina Vega talked about the real reason why she came back to WWE. Ultimately, she had unfinished business in WWE and wants to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

“Well I think more than anything, WWE has always been a place that I felt like I had some kind of unfinished business with. For me, as a kid, you’re like I want to be a champion and there are so many things you want to accomplish. Coming back, I set my eyes on the SmackDown Women’s Championship. That’s what I’m focused on the most and seeing where that takes me. After Bianca vs. Sasha, who knows. Will it be Bianca that remains champion or will it be Sasha? Either one, I’m coming after them and I can’t wait for that.”

We will have to wait and see how Zelina is booked in the coming weeks on Friday Night Smackdown and if she will eventually become a champion in the company. She hasn’t won very many matches, but her time on television has remained consistent thus far.
