Britt Baker Set To Make Company History On AEW Rampage Debut

AEW is gearing up for their first episode of Rampage, but their main event will make history for the company. Three matches will fill tonight’s show, and Britt Baker will defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Red Velvet in the main event of the night. The Pittsburgh fans are set for a big show and they will watch history unfold in front of them in the process.

Tonight’s AEW Women’s World Title match is being touted by the company as the first time a women’s match headlines one of their events. That is partly true, because it is the first sanctioned women’s match to main event.

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa already tore the house down in the main event of Dynamite with their unsanctioned match. That bloody war was won by Thunder Rosa, but Baker’s performance captured the Internet Wrestling Community’s attention once again. Since it was a lights outs match, it didn’t really count.

The opener for the debut episode of Rampage will be Kenny Omega vs. Christian Cage for the Impact Title. Miro will then defend the TNT Title against Fuego del Sol. If Fuego wins, then he gets a full-time AEW contract,

The Pittsburgh fans will likely be white hot for the main event match as Britt Baker wrestles in front of her home city. She will also make history in the process in that match with Red Velvet.
