WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is currently on the best run of his career according to fans. His impeccable character work as a heel has truly won him over with fans. The Tribal Chief gimmick came about after he was forced to be a babyface for several years.

During a recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns certainty turned heads with a promo on John Cena, where he compared Cena to the missionary position, stating that he is the same boring act as the sex position.

The dirty line was eventually edited out of WWE programming. While speaking to the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Roman Reigns talked about his missionary position line and stated that he didn’t understand why it was edited out in the first place.

I don’t know why they edited it out. I think it raised some eyebrows. I don’t get in trouble. The gimmick is as close to being real as possible. Even if they tried to say something to me, I wouldn’t have cared anyway. What are you gonna do? Not have me on SmackDown next week? Like I did before SummerSlam last year, I’ll go home. It doesn’t matter to me. Let’s see how they do without me.”

Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against John Cena at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 21st. He didn’t drop any more missionary position jokes, but John Cena still took his own jab at the Tribal Chief’s line the next week. We will have to wait and see if he will be able to come out of the pay-per-view as the champion.
