CM Punk remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers to have ever graced the squared circle. He was at the top of his game while being an active WWE Superstar and singlehandedly made the company interesting again with his infamous pipebomb promo. Punk is reportedly 100% for an AEW Chicago show, and many are expecting to see him on August 20th at the United Center.
Punk left WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble and hasn’t made his return to a pro wrestling promotion since then. As we exclusively reported, CM Punk has already signed a deal with AEW and now his upcoming debut is one of the most talked-about points of discussion in the pro wrestling world.
With AEW Rampage: First Dance set to take place in Chicago on August 20th, many fans have been wondering whether CM Punk will be making his AEW debut during the episode. While speaking to Sunday Night’s Main Event, CM Punk addressed the teases that AEW has put out regarding his eventual debut. CM Punk claimed that he will be in Chicago on August 20th for screening the third episode of his ‘Heels’ TV series.
“I think I might be doing a screening, this isn’t confirmed yet so I probably shouldn’t blast this out everywhere, but we’re talking about doing a screening of episode three of Heels at AMC in Chicago. That’s one of the dates that has been proposed. I hope to see everybody there,”
The AEW locker room is certainly excited about CM Punk signing with the company. We will have to wait and see if CM Punk truly will debut at the AEW Rampage: First Dance event next week.
