CM Punk is on his way to AEW and fans seem to realize that all too well. Chants for his name fill Dynamite, and they even sprinkled in some “Yes” chants this week for the impending debut of Bryan Danielson. Although Punk remains coy about his August 20th plans, fans filled Twitter timelines with his name in a huge way and he trended because of it.

As of this writing, over 43,000 fans have tweeted out about CM Punk in a very short span of time. Fans are obviously excited about what is to come and they can’t wait to see the Second City Savior once again.

Tons of fans tweeted out and used CM Punk’s name in the process. This was a trend that many saw on their timelines, and Twitter took notice. The social media site inserted a CM Punk trend on their sidebar, and the tweets kept coming.

Armchair booking theories are being floated around along with jokes about what will happen if CM Punk doesn’t show up in AEW. As Ringside News exclusively reported, Punk has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling.
