Max Caster is 1/2 of The Acclaimed, one of the most popular tag team wrestlers in AEW. Caster recently landed himself in hot water as well and that cost his duo in a big way.
Max Caster trended on social media and drew the ire of fans after he rapped about Simone Biles’ mental health and the Duke lacrosse team made the air on AEW Dark. Plenty of people were not happy with him using her mental health to gain heat.
Tony Khan himself was very upset at the controversial rap and stated that he himself will now be in charge of the editing for Dark and Dark: Elevation from now on. That only adds to Khan’s already loaded plate of responsibilities.
Now it seems Max Caster might be facing the consequences of his controversial rap. The Acclaimed was pulled from this week’s episode of AEW Dark after a match was advertised.
AEW previously posted the card for this week’s show on social media, but then deleted the tweet. They took out the Acclaimed’s match and reposted the lineup. This signaled that their match was pulled.
The Acclaimed were set to face Hunter Knott & Rosario Grillo on AEW Dark. That will no longer air on the show. It is also unfortunate for Knott and Grillo, because they won’t be on AEW Dark either. Caster was also removed from an indie event last week.
We will have to wait and see if Max Caster will continue to be punished for his controversial rap. It seems that Tony Khan was is still not over the incident.
