Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and oversees everything that goes on in the company, right down to the most minute of details. Vince McMahon is also larger than life and is known to do the craziest of things.
For the past few months, WWE has been releasing several talents from their contracts, which began with the likes of Mickie James and Chelsea Green being released back in April.
The company released even more NXT Superstars in their latest batch of releases, including the likes of Bronson Reed and Bobby Fish. In total, WWE has released 52 Superstars so far this year.
While speaking on Smack Talk, pro wrestling legend Dutch Mantell talked about WWE’s latest batch of releases. Mantell stated that Vince McMahon doesn’t care about the talents he releases.
”Vince – he just cares, at the end of the day, what the bottom line says because he’s been in this business for 50 years. Releasing a guy is nothing new to him and most of the guys he releases, they gotta get booked somewhere else but the only place they can go is AEW so he doesn’t care. If he made more money than he’s ever made in a quarter during this pandemic, [do] you think he’s worried about anything? And he’s dumping his stocks so they’re getting ready for something. I don’t know exactly what it is.”
It is unlikely WWE will stop releasing talents and members of staff from the looks of it, which certainly has affected the morale of talents as they do not have any job security.
