Kyle O’Reilly is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in NXT right now and his in-ring prowess has been on full display over the past few years. After Adam Cole broke up the Undisputed Era, he feuded with Kyle O’Reilly. Yesterday say Bobby Fish’s release, a man who they spent years with on the road.
WWE has been on a mission to release anyone they can in recent memory. This all started in April with the release of Superstars such as Mickie James and Chelsea Green. It then led to the shocking releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy back in June. After that more NXT talents were released.
Bray Wyatt was also released last month which certainly shocked the entire pro wrestling world. Finally, WWE released even more NXT Superstars recently including Bronson Reed and Bobby Fish.
Kyle O’Reilly, who was Bobby Fish’s tag team partner, took to Twitter and commented on the latest batch of NXT releases, stating that it is a bummer to see his friends lose their jobs.
“The word of the day is ‘Bummer.’ It was a bummer to see my friends lose their jobs but I take solace in knowing they will all end up OK and doing great things. Still though, major bummer.”
From the looks of it, WWE will continue to release more talents, as it is said to be a regular occurrence from now on. It was said that WWE will be repackaging NXT soon so we will have to wait and see how that turns out.
