Melina Challenges For Impact Knockouts Title

On this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV, Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo finally came to know who her challenger will be for the August 28th NWA Empower pay-per-view.

Purrazzo was celebrating her Homecoming tournament win with “Drama King’ Matthew Rehwoldt. Suddenly, Mickie James came out to ring with a contract in hand. James claimed she had the perfect challenger for Purrazzo.

James then introduced Melina Perez and then both Perez and Purrazzo signed the contract for their match. This was Perez’s first appearance on Impact Wrestling.

Melina Perez is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having spent most of her career in WWE before departing in 2011. It will also be Purrazzo’s first appearance for the NWA. We will have to wait and see how the title match will turn out to be.
