WWE released multiple NXT wrestlers including Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish and Mercedes Martinez. The releases are a part of the ongoing budget cuts, and this round of cuts including some huge surprises.
Bronson Reed, who is a former NXT North American Champion, took to Twitter to comment on his release. He stated that the monster is back on the lose and listed AEW, NJPW, Impact and Ring of Honor as possible destinations as he directly @mentioned them.
Just got released from @WWE
This monster is back on the loose … you don’t know WHAT you’ve just done..
@AEW @IMPACTWRESTLING @njpw1972 @ringofhonor
The timing of Bronson Reed’s release is a huge surprise. Many were under the impression that he was on his way to the main roster, but that is not the case at all. The Colossus had dark matches prior to the main roster’s television tapings. He was obviously cut instead of getting a call-up.
Reed is just getting started in pro wrestling and he will likely use the exposure that NXT provided him to do amazing things in this business.
