Bray Wyatt was touted as one of the most creative WWE Superstars in the company for a long time. He continued to reinvent himself and break barriers, but ultimately WWE creative continued to let him down.
Bray Wyatt’s Fiend had a lot of momentum in WWE but it was quickly derailed numerous times. Even his latest feud against Randy Orton saw The Fiend lose in uninspiring fashion at WrestleMania 37 after Alexa Bliss betrayed him for some reason.
In the end Bray Wyatt was released from the company last month, in a move that truly shook the pro wrestling world to its core. The company’s third party partners were stunned as well. Now it seems there might be a chance Bray Wyatt could end up in AEW.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was said that Bray Wyatt might land in AEW thanks to his family’s connection with Cody Rhodes’ family for decades.
“The question becomes the landing point. His name value is such that most companies would have an interest in him. The character that he used in WWE wouldn’t fit well with AEW, but that isn’t to say they couldn’t modify it in some form. He’s a contemporary of Cody Rhodes, since the Rhodes and Mulligan family were close for decades.”
Bray Wyatt is connected to the Mulligan family because his father was the son-in-law of Blackjack Mulligan. Bray Wyatt has already teased a new character after his WWE release. We will have to wait and see if Bray Wyatt eventually makes his way to AEW or not.
