Roman Reigns Refuses To Accept Superstar Of The Half-Year Award As ‘John Cena Needs It More’

Roman Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion and is one of the top Superstars in the company right now. He has proven himself to be an excellent champion with great character work and in-ring skills.

Roman Reigns’ reinvention as a heel has truly shown just how good he can be both as an in-ring performer and character. It came after several years of being forced onto fans as a babyface.

Roman Reigns certainly had a terrific year so far as he competed in many high profile matches and rivalries for his WWE Universal Championship.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Roman Reigns was given the Superstar Of The Half-Year award. In truly Tribal Chief fashion, Reigns simply declined the award and said that John Cena needed it more.

“So they’ve acknowledged me? Give it to John Cena. He needs their love more than I do.”

John Cena is set to square off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. We will have to see if Cena will be able to be Roman for the title or not.
