Braun Strowman was released from WWE, freeing up his $1.2 million per year contract from the company’s bottom line. He hasn’t been seen in a pro wrestling ring since, but the Monster Among Men has posted plenty of gym activity on social media.
Strowman, now Adam Scherr, dropped a photo today of himself in a pro wrestling ring. He also included a caption from the Staind song, “It’s Been A While.” We have included the music video below, just in case thinking about the song gets the song stuck in your head.
And it’s been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it’s been awhile
Since I first saw you
And it’s been awhile
Since I could stand on my own two feet again
And it’s been awhile
Since I could call you!!!
Some fans thought that this was some sort of cryptic message, but they might not be aware of Aaron Lewis’ fantastic songwriting. Scherr was dropping lyrics to a great rock song, but the fact that he was in a pro wrestling ring is a very interesting sign.
He is commanding a huge payday for indie gigs, at $20k plus travel, room, and accommodations for two days. So, it’s not cheap to book him. Adam Scherr is scheduled to work a show in Qatar in February. We’ll have to see if those rumors about WWE being interested in him again hold any water, but he’s still keeping the ring rust off for some reason.
