Ric Flair is no longer with WWE after they granted his request for a release. Numerous reports have surfaced saying that Flair was disgruntled with WWE’s creative process, and now The Nature Boy is speaking his mind on the matter.

The two-time WWE Hall of Famer sent out a tweet with only a text image attached. He made it clear that there are no hard feelings between himself and Vince McMahon’s company. He also confirmed that his release was requested and not handed down due to any other reason.

I am officially able to respond to all the press related to my requested release from WWE, which they have given me. I want to make it really clear with everyone that I’m not upset with WWE at all. They solely are responsible for putting me in the position of life that I’m in right now, where I’m seen in the brightest light ever. We have a different vision for my future. I wish them nothing but continued success! Thank you for everything! Nothing but respect!

Flair’s different version for his future could include any number of things. At this juncture, it’s not fair to speculate about what’s next for him. It’s also not out of the question that Tony Khan could think of plenty of ways he would like to use the Nature Boy.

Ric Flair’s statement on the matter might help smooth things out. He also doesn’t want to upset WWE, because Charlotte Flair is still employed with the company. She lost to Nikki ASH last night on RAW, but there is no confirmation that her loss to the RAW Women’s Champion had anything to do with her famous father’s departure.
