KENTA Demands Match Against CM Punk

CM Punk recently signed with AEW. Ever since Ringside News broke initial news, fan speculation about dream opponents for CM Punk has been running wild. Names such as Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Cody Rhodes have been mentioned as possible opponents for CM Punk. Bryan Danielson is also a likely opponent.

New Japan star and Bullet Club member KENTA recently took to Twitter to make it known that he wants CM Punk. He has already made a stop through AEW as part of the company’s partnership with NJPW. It was not hard to tell that KENTA wants to face the man who took his GTS finisher and made it famous stateside.

Give me CM Punk

A match between KENTA and CM Punk has been desired by fans for several years, dating back far before AEW existed. Fan interest stems from the fact that both KENTA and CM Punk use the Go To Sleep as their finishing move.

CM Punk has openly credited KENTA for the idea of the GTS finisher as far back as 2012.
