This week’s show opens with the All Mighty WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, and MVP making their way to the ring.
MVP says he knows everyone is excited to see Goldberg and the fans boo. Before he comes out here though, he needs to address a few things. MVP says that, without question, Goldberg is an icon and still capable of annhilating any man on any given night. But therein lies the problem: he didn’t challenge any man, he challenged the all mighty. MVP says Goldberg is a gladiator; a warrior used to getting in to the ring with another gladiator. However Bobby Lashley is a kaiju. A monster unlike anyone else. So this could well be Goldberg’s last match. MVP asks if Goldberg wants to be remembered as a Champion or a casualty.
Goldberg’s music hits and the fans chant as he makes his entrance. Goldberg says Lashley should be concerned about losing his WWE Championship. He says MVP is scared and Lashley looks it too. Goldberg says he knows what Lashley is thinking, he’s a high-level athlete, but he shows weakness. Goldberg says the first time Lashley saw him walk down the ramp he thought he was his victim but guess what, this is Goldberg’s coliseum. He says it doesn’t matter if he’s 35, 75, or 135, he’ll always be Goldberg. He lives by the spear and the Champ will die by his spear. So, at SummerSlam, Lashley is next.
Goldberg leaves up the ramp and his son is sitting at ringside. Lashley gets out of the ring and gets in his son’s face. MVP makes him get back in the ring and pose with the belt. MVP tells Goldberg’s son that Lashley will end his career and he’s done. Goldberg comes running down the ramp and spears MVP on the floor! Goldberg and his son walk up the ramp as Lashley checks on MVP. Goldberg shouts at Lashley that he talks to his son again and he will kill him.
