WWE Superstars Don’t Feel Their Jobs Are Safe After Bray Wyatt Release

WWE released Bray Wyatt and that news is still settling in for a lot of people. We previously reported that a lot of people within the company do not believe WWE’s official “budget cuts” excuse. There is more to that story.

Wyatt sold amazing merchandise and made the company a ton of money off his character. Losing him will free up his big contract from the bottom line, but it also eliminates a slew of future merchandise possibilities. He was also one of the most popular members of the WWE roster.

Fightful Select reports that Wyatt’s merchandise sales numbers were not lost on anyone. That being said, Wyatt’s release also made several people on the roster to believe that their jobs aren’t safe anymore, no matter how high up they are on the card.

Wyatt was well known within the company to move merchandise when he was an active performer, and several other long-time stars said that they don’t feel like their jobs are safe any longer, despite of their positions on the card or prior pushes.

WWE cut one of their top Superstars in Bray Wyatt, and it also sent a huge message. We’ll wait on a tell-all shoot interview from the Eater of Worlds, but his time in WWE was abruptly ended. The manner in which WWE released Bray Wyatt was not lost on anyone either.
