CM Punk remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers to have ever graced the squared circle. He was at the top of his game while being an active WWE Superstar and singlehandedly made the company interesting again with his infamous pipebomb promo.

Punk left WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble and hasn’t made his return to a pro wrestling promotion since then. As we exclusively reported, CM Punk has already signed a deal with AEW and now his upcoming debut is one of the most talked about points of discussion in the pro wrestling world.

While speaking on a recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net was asked if he heard how the AEW locker room feels about CM Punk signing with the company. Haynes stated that those in AEW are really excited about CM Punk coming to the company.

As far as I know, everybody seems to be really excited, that I’ve talked to, because this is huge for them. I don’t think anybody harbors any real bad feelings towards him, except the Punk- [Colt] Cabana thing, which is interesting with him being a producer, and they’re going to be in the back, so how’s that gonna happen? They’re gonna have to interact at some point.”
