Karrion Kross lost his RAW debut to Jeff Hardy, and then their second match was nixed due to Hardy testing positive for COVID-19. The original plans called for Kross to lose that match against Hardy, but he was booked to defeat Keith Lee instead. There is a reason for WWE’s booking.
During the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, Andrew Zarian addressed Karrion Kross’ current booking on RAW. He confirmed that Kross was supposed to lose that second match against Hardy, because they want him to keep losing until Scarlett shows up to help him.
“Karrion Kross was supposed to lose again against Jeff Hardy in their rematch and then finally he would go berserk. I’m not 100% on this, but I was told that the plan was that Karrion Kross keeps losing until Scarlett shows up. That’s going to bring him back on track because she is able to unleash the warrior, whatever they’re calling him, the gladiator in him.”
Last week Zarian made a comment about how Scarlett is like an “urn” to Kross’ “Undertaker.” She holds the power to his success. Now we will have to see if that caged beast will be unleashed with her help after all. You never know how nixing that match against Jeff Hardy could have altered WWE’s plans for the Smoke Show.
