Former WWE Champion and current WWE United States Champion Sheamus has had a great career in the company, winning multiple championships during his time in the company.
It has been quite a tumultuous time for Sheamus, ever since he won the WWE United States Championship after defeating Matt Riddle at WrestleMania 37. After his win, Sheamus would compete in matches on Monday Night RAW.
After suffering a broken nose at the hands of Humberto Carrillo back in May, Sheamus was out of action for a while. He finally returned from injury earlier this month and has been wearing an interesting fast mask as well.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the show kicked off with Sheamus squaring off against Damian Priest in a “Contender’s Match;” which meant if Priest won the match, he would get a shot at Sheamus’ title in the future.
Before the match started, WWE’s Twitter account officially announced that Sheamus has crossed 100 days as the WWE United States Champion.
100 days and counting as #USChampion #WWERaw
Sheamus would lose to Damian Preist in the match and now will have to defend his WWE United States Championship at a later date. We will have to wait and see how long Sheamus will remain the champion.
