Big E is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars on Friday Night Smackdown and had been on the receiving end of a push for the past few months as a singles competitor.
It would see him win the WWE Intercontinental Championship last year and he had a solid run as the champion before losing it to Apollo Crews at WrestleMania 37.
At the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Big E won the Money In The Bank ladder match and became the owner of the Money In The Bank briefcase as thousands of fans in the audience celebrated his victory.
While speaking on New Day: Feel The Power, Big E joked that he will cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase to get back his last name in WWE, which was Langston.
“I have decided that, since I have the Money in the Bank briefcase, I have found there is a loophole and I want to use it to cash in to get my last name. Titles are important, they are, don’t get me wrong, but I think I’d like to use it (to get my last name). I’m gonna sit on it and think on it, but I found it in fine brought that it’ll allow me to get my last name back. I had my lawyer look over it and we celebrated. That is the victory, becoming whole again. Being world champion is exciting, but you know how bad I want to be Langston.”
Big E’s name was shortened back in 2014 at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and has remained the same since then. We certainly wonder if he will ever get his full name back, as it is a rarity in the company.
