Impact Wrestling star Matt Cardona made headlines last month after he attacked Nick Gage while Cardona pretended to be Jon Moxley, which got a lot of heat from fans in attendance.

Nick Gage would return the favor by invading Matt Cardona’s live podcast, as he was looking for a fight. The two certainly have a heated rivalry right now and while Cage has a lot of experience with violent matches, Cardona does not.

Despite this, Matt Cardona challenged Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship on Night 1 of GCW Homecoming. It was certainly a very bloody match as expected, with Nick Gage using multiple light tubes and a pizza cutter on Cardona throughout the match.

At one point, Chris Jericho’s entrance music, Judas, played, but Chris Jericho was not present at the event in the end. Right after that, 44.OH! came out, but Gage fought them off. Rickey Shane Page came out and low-blowed Gage, which allowed Cardona to hit the Rough Ryder on Gage to win the title.

Cardona was pelted with trash including beer bottles and the like as Cardona celebrated in the ring and then left, leaving Nick Gage in a sorry state as he couldn’t believe what happened.
