Pro wrestling legend and former WWE Superstar Mark Henry shocked the world when he made his debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. AEW became only the second company ever that Henry has worked in.
The WWE Hall Of Famer is set to be an analyst for AEW’s upcoming show AEW Rampage. AEW President Tony Khan would also reveal more details regarding Henry’s role in the show and how he even made his way to AEW
The World’s Strongest Man has also signed a multi-year deal with the company. While speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Mark Henry discussed which younger talents impressed him in AEW. While doing so, Henry admitted he plays favorites in the company.
“I really like Will Hobbs’ work ethic,. He’s a sponge. He wants to learn, he wants to be better. Darby Allin, Ricky Starks, ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page are people I talk to on a regular basis. Max Caster. Talented, talented. Anthony Bowens. The Acclaimed is one of my favorites. I play favorites. They’ll be people that say ‘oh man, that’s not fair. You’ve got to be good to everybody.’ No. You got to be good to everybody, but there is favoritism in this world. And if you want my affection, you want me to co-sign for you, you’re gonna have to do extra. The people who do extra and the people who get my attention, they’re going to get treated differently. Everybody’s not going to get treated equally, but everybody’s going to get treated fair.”
AEW certainly has many skilled younger competitors and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. Henry had previously stated that he wants to wrestle in AEW. We will have to wait and see who Mark Henry’s opponent will be when he finally decides to wrestle.
