CM Punk started to show interest in making a pro wrestling return, and it didn’t take him very long to find a company to make it happen. Ringside News reported that Punk has signed with the company, and now we know when to expect him.
It has been six years since CM Punk wrestled. If you’re wondering about WWE interest, there is none. Ringside News exclusively reported this morning that there have been no interest to bring him back. Punk is now All Elite.
Bodyslam.net, who broke that Daniel Bryan signed with AEW, provided 100% certainty that the Second City Savior will be in Chicago. It’s just a matter of which show he will be at.
“I believe the [Ringside News] report 100% and I’ve had a lot of other stuff told me that solidifies why I believe that. I was told that he’s 100% for Chicago. They want CM Punk in Chicago. They want him to be there. It’s not a matter if, but when. You know they have Dynamite, they have Rampage, and they have All Out.”
CM Punk’s AEW debut will undoubtedly rock the pro wrestling world. His participation in AEW’s product will also probably bring a lot of fans to Tony Khan’s company. If you add in Daniel Bryan’s impending debut, presumably during the September 22nd Arthur Ashe Stadium Dynamite Grand Slam event, then AEW has a lot of things to get fans going in the next few months.
