Charlotte Flair is daughter of Ric Flair, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer with 16 World Title reigns under his belt. He “unofficially” has around 23, but 16 is the official number. His daughter Charlotte Flair was catching up to him, but WWE took some of those reigns away recently.
It was previously reported that Flair lost the RAW Women’s Title after one day to create a short reign. The company wants her to beat Ric Flair’s record, but they might not want it to happen too soon.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE nixed The Queen’s NXT Women’s Title reigns from her overall record in the company. That cut her number of title reigns from 13 to 8. Since WWE wants Charlotte to keep chasing her father’s record, then that will likely call for many more championship reigns for the second generation star.
Charlotte Flair beat Rhea Ripley to win the Raw women’s title, but then lost it the next night to Nikki Ash, cashing in her briefcase. It accomplished two purposes, getting the title on Ash with the cash-in on Raw, after Flair added another title reign for the chase to 17. However, with NXT belts no longer being counted, her apparent 13th singles world title win is now only her eighth.
Nikki ASH is the RAW Women’s Champion now after cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase one night after winning it. We’ll have to see how long ASH can keep her title, but she’s having a blast as champion so far. Obviously, Charlotte Flair is far from removed from the tile picture.
