W Morrissey showed up in Impact Wrestling to prove himself in the company. As Big Cass, he was released from WWE and controversy followed. He also battled personal demons along the way, but seems to be doing much better.

The former Big Cass spoke to Sean Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast about his time in Impact Wrestling so far. He is looking forward to working with Eddie Edwards more often while revealing that he is currently inked to a deal until October’s Bound For Glory event. Of course, anything can change on a dime in pro wrestling, so he might stick around longer.

“I’m looking forward to more matches with Eddie Edwards and looking forward to the rest of my time with IMPACT, however long that might be. I don’t know how long it might be. That’s on them and that’s on me. Right now, I’m very happy being in IMPACT. They have great talent, a great locker room. Everybody is awesome and treated well. It’s a really great place to be. I really enjoy going to work.”

“I am signed with IMPACT until Bound For Glory in October. Things could change tomorrow. We’ll see. We’re kind of going on a ‘feel’ basis. They brought me in and I’m not stupid, I understand I’m a high risk because they don’t know what they’re getting. We’ve gone taping by taping and they were like, ‘We’ll sign you up until Bound For Glory’ and that was cool with me because I’m not interested in signing anything long-term right now. It worked out perfectly. I’m there until October for right now.”

W Morrisey is undefeated in Impact Wrestling so far and that shows the company is placing a lot of trust in him. We’ll have to see if Eddie Edwards can finally topple the big man, but the former Big Cass is still one of the realest guys in any room, and you can’t teach that. He is also doing pretty well for himself so far while staying sober and in fantastic shape.
