AEW is bringing in CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, because they were both inked to contracts in the past week. Those two additions to the roster will create a ton of buzz within the pro wrestling world.
Ringside News has exclusively confirmed that AEW has signed CM Punk to a contract. Bodyslam.net also previously broke the news that Bryan Danielson is on his way to AEW. Tony Khan is not admitting to this at all.
During Keeping It 100, Konnan revealed that he asked Khan about Bryan Danielson’s signing, but he did not receive a reply he wanted. “You know I can’t tell you that,” was the only response he received.
AEW posts signs backstage that says “spoilers cost jobs, don’t do it!” This is the kind of information that was very hard to keep in. Tony Khan and his AEW crew probably aren’t happy that everyone already knows the big news, but it won’t get them any less attention, so they might need to stop complaining.
Obviously, AEW is not going to cop to these mega signings until they made their presence known on television. At this point, they might get a lot of interest from fans tuning in just to see when AEW decides to drop those big reveals on television or on pay-per-view.
