Reason Why WWE Moved Naomi To Smackdown

Naomi is a true veteran in the women’s division in WWE as she has been competing in the company for several years now. Naomi is definitely a fan-favorite in the company and is a former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion as well. She is also married to Jimmy Uso.

Naomi was quietly moved to Friday Night Smackdown recently, with the belief that it was due to her relationship with Jimmy Uso and WWE wanting real-life couples to stay on the same brand.

Now it seems there is more to the story than initially thought. According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the move was done in order to bolster up the women’s division on Friday Night Smackdown.

After the release of both Chelsea Green and Ruby Riott, the roster only had nine active female WWE Superstars. Since then, the likes of Shotzi Blackheart, Tegan Nox, and Toni Storm have been called up from NXT, and Zelina Vega returned as well. We will have to wait and see what WWE has planned for Naomi now that she will be on Friday Night Smackdown.
