As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Fyter Fest Night 2, an unexpected debut took place in the form of a deathmatch legend making his way to the company.

After Chris Jericho managed to beat Shawn Spears on this week’s show, MJF officially announced Jericho’s opponent for next week and it turned out to be none other than Nick Gage.

The two will be squaring off against a No Rules match as Chris Jericho promises to come back as The Painmaker for next week’s show. AEW took to its Twitter handle and commented on the announcement, stating that mJF and Nick Gage are standing side-by-side.

“Never in a MILLION years did we think we’d see @The_MJF and @thekingnickgage standing side-by-side. But it happened on #AEWDynamite”

MJF saw the tweet and decided to reply to it as he stated that MJF isn’t working side by side with Gage and promised a lot of money for Gage when he beats Chris Jericho.

Lol side by side? Pump the breaks. This disgusting freak is a mercenary. When he wins he’s getting a fat check with my name on it.

We will have to wait and see if Chris Jericho will manage to defeat deathmatch legend Nick Gage on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
