Samoa Joe hasn’t wrestled in nearly two years, but that is about to change. He has been at odds with Karrion Kross since arriving in NXT, and it didn’t take long at all for things to get physical.

The deal was that Joe couldn’t attack anyone unless he was provoked. He has been plenty provoked in recent weeks. Now he is set up for his next match.

According to F4WOnline, Kross and Joe will be featured during the next NXT TakeOver event on August 22nd. It was also confirmed that their match will be for the NXT Title.

It was set up at Wednesday night’s NXT television tapings that Joe will challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver 36 next month. The TakeOver event is taking place on Sunday, August 22.

Karrion Kross made his WWE RAW debut this week, and he lost in under two minutes to Jeff Hardy. That is a very interesting situation for Kross, and we will have to see how his main roster career continues while he’s pulling double duty on NXT.

It appears that Samoa Joe could pull down the NXT Title at NXT TakeOver: 36 next month.
