Thunder Rosa appeared at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary event, and that was quite a surprise for Deonna Purrazzo. The Virtuosa was quite surprised by Thunder Rosa taking that mystery opponent slot, but the deal was done a while ago.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Thunder Rosa’s deal was done to bring her in about a month ahead of the event. It was also stated that this won’t be the last time fans see Impact Wrestling and the NWA working together.
We’re told that the deal was done about a month ahead of time, and that this won’t be the end of NWA doing some work with IMPACT Wrestling.
Kylie Rae was able to sign a deal with the NWA and work for them while she was still technically under Impact Wrestling contract. Then Impact Wrestling let her out of that deal. It was reported that Impact Wrestling is working well with other companies.
Thunder Rosa will also continue working for the NWA and appearing for AEW until the end of 2021. Then her contract with the NWA is up and we will have to see where she lands next.
