Nikki Cross is one of the mainstays of the women’s division in WWE and after facing a lot of adversity when it comes to booking and not being used well on the main roster, Cross finally underwent a change on an episode of Monday Night RAW last month.

It was certainly a massive change in gimmick compared to her darker gimmick in the past and fans were definitely shocked by it. Now it seems that they have warmed up to the gimmick.

While speaking on Instinct Culture by Denise Salcedo, Nikki Cross discussed her current character and stated that pro wrestling characters should evolve similar to how people do.

“People evolve and I think wrestling characters should too. For me, like I said, the heart of this character is for a young audience to feel inspired and be good and be kind to each other as a superpower. It may not be super strength, it may not be the coolest superpower like super strength or super speed or x-ray super vision or laser eyes. But I think there is something very important in being good to one another and being positive as a superpower and that’s the message, that’s the heart of what we’re trying to do.

Nikki Cross is set to be part of the upcoming Women’s Money in the Bank Match on July 18th at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view. We will have to see how she will fare in the match.
