WWE is looking to freshen up their roster and that might begin tonight as the company invites live fans back to SmackDown. This could include big surprises and even more NXT call-ups.
It was previously reported that even more returns are expected than anyone knows about. WWE wants to capture a lot more interest as live fans return after 18 months of pandemic programming.
Daniel Vidot, former pro rugby player, posted a photo on Twitter that got a lot of fans talking. He is now Xyon Quinn in WWE’s NXT brand, and the Superstar is backstage with Odyssey Jones. As it turns out, Jones, Omari Palmer, is a former pro football player. They made quite a pair in that photo as Xyon Quinn captioned it with:
Houston… we have a problem.
We might have a problem on SmackDown if Xyon Quinn and Odyssey Jones make their debuts on the main roster. Jones is actually a part of the NXT Breakout Tournament, so it will be interesting to see how that turns out.
Just because they are backstage doesn’t mean that they will debut tonight on SmackDown. Jones did have a tryout match a few weeks ago for the main roster, so we will have to see what happens next. They both certainly looked ready to rumlble.
