Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion.
Drew McIntyre was released from WWE back in 2014 and made a name for himself in the independent circuit before returning to the company in 2017. Many WWE Superstars have stated in the past how it is difficult to approach Vince McMahon and talk to him about their grievances.
While speaking to Wrestling Inside The Ropes, Drew McIntyre was asked about his relationship with Vince McMahon. McIntyre noted how developing a relationship with McMahon was integral to his success. He advised other WWE Superstars to go talk to Vince McMahon if they have any questions or concerns.
“It’s good. If I have a question or concern, I go to him right away and I advise all the other Superstars to do exactly the same. When I was younger, I was so intimidated by him because he’s such a large presence and it’s terrifying, the idea of knocking on the door and talking to him. You get a little older, a little wiser, get more of a business head on your shoulders and you realize that he runs the company and you have to build a relationship. You need that back and forth, it’s not just going to help me, it’s going to help the company overall. That’s where we’re at right now. When I returned to the company, it was very much as a man and not a boy, like in my first run. It was a business head on my shoulders and I knew I had to grow that relationship to further my career and at the same time, help WWE. I always advise the other superstars to do exactly the same.”
Drew McIntyre is set to be in the Money In The Bank ladder match this year after earning the opportunity on Monday Night RAW. We will have to see if Drew McIntyre will be able to win the match or not on July 18.
