Buddy Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio were involved in a storyline that captured the attention of many WWE fans throughout the end of 2020. The storyline was then dropped unexpectedly, and that left Murphy in the lurch. He also wasn’t told that the angle was dropped until it was too late.

Ringside News exclusively reported that the company dropped the angle and there was a lot of uncertainty there. Murphy also had no idea that his storyline was dropped despite following through with the angle even though he was uncomfortable about kissing Aalyah Mysterio.

While speaking to Fightful, Murphy revealed how he found out that his angle was dropped. He had to drack down Bruce Prichard and hear it from the Executive Director himself.

Rey and Dominik are doing stuff and I’m like, ‘what’s going on?’ Aalyah is not there. ‘Do they need me?’ I’m messaging Dominik like, ‘Is Aalyah coming to TV?’ There was no communication. She was asking her dad, I’m asking Dom and Rey. We had no idea. The dirt sheets said they had dropped the angle. How do the dirt sheets know before I do? I’m trying to track down Bruce [Prichard]. I track him down and I’m like, ‘what’s going on?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, we dropped it,” said Murphy.

Murphy is now onto his next adventure in pro wrestling and he will likely benefit any roster he decides to join. Hopefully, whatever company he ends up working for will keep him in the loop a bit better regarding his storyline direction, especially if they drop his angle that has been keeping him on television for months.
