Andrade El Idolo Says He’ll Be The Face Of AEW

Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo had a solid run in NXT where he even won the NXT Championship, but his main roster run in comparison left much to be desired. He was finally granted his WWE release after WWE Fastlane back on March 21st.

Since his release, fans have been wondering which pro wrestling promotion Andrade El Idolo will call home next. That question was finally answered as he made his debut in AEW last month after being introduced by Vickie Guerrero.

On this week’s episode of AEW Road Rager, Andrade El Idolo made his in-ring debut against Matt Sydal. It was certainly an intense match as both competitors gave it their all to come out the victor. Ultimately, it was El Idolo who got his hands raised.

Andrade El Idolo took to Twitter and said that while Matt Sydal is an amazing talent, he is determined to become the face of AEW.

“Great opponent and amazing talent @MattSydal but I’m going to make the new face of the company @AEW,

We will have to see what is next in store for Andrade El Idolo after his successful in-ring debut in AEW. Perhaps he will be going for the TNT Championship or AEW World Title soon enough.
