New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned At Great American Bash

WWE held the Great American Bash tonight on the USA Network. They presented three title matches and the third contest resulted in a surprise title change. The NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles now belong to new owners.

The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell defended the NXT Women’s Tag Tam Titles against Io Shirai. After a competitive contest, The Way was defended thanks to an unexpected guest.

Thanks to Tegan Nox’s return creating a huge distraction, Zoey Stark was able to nail her finisher on Indi Hartwell and secure the pinfall. The celebration didn’t last long as Nox came down to seek retribution against Candice LeRae.

During the commercial break, following The Way’s loss, Dexter Lumis walked to ringside and picked up Indi Hartwell to carry her off. It seems that love story will continue as Candice LeRae has Tegan Nox to worry about now.
