A couple of years ago, Kofimania was running rampant in WWE as fans rallied behind Kingston. It resulted in him winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 and he held the title for around six months.

On the debut episode of WWE Smackdown on FOX, Brock Lesnar challenged Kofi Kingston for the title. In a move that still has fans question the booking decision, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston in seven seconds in order to win the WWE Championship.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley took to Twitter and stated that he always believed Kofi Kingston deserved a much better run as the WWE Champion. It is likely many share the same sentiments as him.

“I always thought @TrueKofi(Kofi Kingston) deserved a better/longer run,”
