AJ Styles has been touted as one of the best pro wrestlers by both fans and wrestlers alike. Styles continues to work at a high level despite growing older and continues to amaze fans

Since his appearance in the 2016 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles has cemented himself as one of the best in-ring workers in all of WWE. He has had great matches with several big names in the company.

AJ Styles made a name for himself in the independent circuit, especially TNA and then NJPW before he made his way to WWE. While Speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, AJ Styles admitted that he was worried Vince McMahon was going to give him a stereotypical Southern gimmick because of his accent.

“I had no idea what was going to happen. There was talk of, ‘Hey, I don’t know if we can keep your name.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s fine, I’ll be whoever you want me to be but I have this huge tattoo on my side that says AJ, but you can call me whatever you want.’ Listen, I was worried about this southern accent that I can’t shake, that Vince was going to make me wear overalls and come out to a little country song or something with a banjo. I was more worried about that.”
