Roman Reigns and his cousins, The Usos, are involved in a featured WWE storyline on SmackDown as they continue toward Money in the Bank. Many fans are invested and want to see what will happen next, but it seems that the company hit the pause button in a way.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez quipped that Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso have swapped spots in Roman Reigns’ storyline because they have already gone as far as they can with Jey right now. Given Jimmy’s long absence from WWE, he has a lot more to do right now.
“They went as far as they could with Jey Uso, but they have to do the same show every week so now they’re doing it with his twin.”
WWE has a lot of things going right now, but they also can’t progress storylines too fast. It seems that Roman Reigns’ situation with his cousins is in an interesting transition as Jimmy Uso is going through a lot of the same issues his brother did months ago. We will have to see how all of this comes to a head eventually, because Roman Reigns’ storylines are still receiving a ton of attention on WWE programming.
Roman Reigns is reportedly set to battle John Cena at SummerSlam. That is the next huge match for him. He will face Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank, but many are simply seeing that as a holding pattern until the biggest party of the summer rolls around.
