Zelina Vega returned to WWE this week on SmackDown and she was immediately given a spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. She was released from WWE in November 2020, and at the time a huge controversy rose out of her firing.

Vega tweeted out her support for unions after she was released. This came during a time after WWE banned their Superstars from taking part in third party deals such as Cameo and Twitch. Vega remained on Twitch and she also started an OnlyFans.

Vega even spoke with SAG-AFTRA and got Andrew Yang involved in things. Fans were not happy as many called for a union in WWE, but that never came to pass.

“I support unionization” was the tweet Vega fired off after her WWE release, but that tweet is no longer there. Following her return to the company, fans went back on Vega’s timeline and discovered that she nixed that old controversial tweet.

Zelina Vega did send out a determined tweet following her WWE return, but she might have gone back and nixed that old one for a very obvious reason. We still have to wonder if she continues to support unionization in pro wrestling.
