WWE owns a lot rights to various songs that they aren’t using. Although he does have an adrenaline pumping anthem now, Drew McIntyre would like to see his old music make a return.

‘Written in my Face’ was The Scottish Warrior’s theme song for a while during his first run with WWE. That song is often referred to as Lobster Head because of how the lyrics are misheard at times. It is still a song that McIntyre misses during his entrances.

While speaking to The Battleground Podcast, Drew McIntyre expressed his desire to get his old WWE theme song back, and he plans to make it happen.

“I don’t see anyone asking for ‘Lobster Head,’ everyone’s asking about Broken Freakin Dreams. One of these days, that music is going to come back. I hear this question all the time. I see it every day on social media.”

“One of these days I’m going to get it approved, have it for a show. I’m positive we still have the rights to it. Everybody in the crowd better know the words to that song because I go out there and people are like ‘what’s that?’ I’m going to be let down. Everyone start learning the lyrics because eventually I will get that song and I’ll ensure Sheamus will never have ‘Lobster Head’ as his theme song again.”

We’ll have to see how Drew McIntyre incorporates that nifty sword gimmick into his entrance if WWE does bring back his old music. It would certainly make fans happy.

Retro entrance music might be a way to get a lot of fans back on board. There is still a report that WWE will let Jeff Hardy start using No More Words when they make a return to live touring. We’ll have to see if that really happens as well.
