WWE is looking at some NXT Superstars and they are getting tryout matches in while the company prepares to make plans with those incoming talents. Several Superstars competed in dark matches prior to SmackDown this week.

According to PW Insider, Shotzi Blackheart, Toni Storm, Karrion Kross, and Odyssey Jones all received tryouts prior to SmackDown. It was not noted that Scarlett was around, or accompanying Kross. The reported matches were as follows:

*Shotzi Blackheart vs. Toni Storm.

*Odyssey Jones vs. Robert Roode.

*Karrion Kross vs. Cesaro.

Karrion Kross and Shotzi Blackheart have attended main roster tryouts in the past. Toni Storm’s name being included in this event has to have some fans excited.

Odyssey Jones is not a man who has received any focus on the black and gold brand’s weekly show, but he’s been grinding at the Performance Center. He is a cross-over athlete, real name Omari Palmer, who is a former college football player. He signed with WWE NXT and was part of the February 2019 Performance Center class.

We’ll have to see who WWE calls up next, but it seems that they are expanding their search.

What’s your take on who might get called up to the WWE main roster next? Sound off in the comments!
